Introduction

The Marutroji Ghule Patil Arts, Commerce & Science College,Ahmednagar. The department of chemistry was established in 2009. The department offers undergraduate courses of first year, second year and third year in chemistry  Initially only graduation course was being conducted in the department. Now, Chemistry Department is a well-established, well-equipped department of the college. There are four   dynamic faculty members. The department has three well equipped laboratories. The laboratories are flourished with variety of basic and advance instruments. The instruments include GM counter, Microwave oven, pH meter, potentiometer, colorimeter, refractrometer etc. There is a separate laboratory for Chemistry Practical Department, there are  Instruments in lab with all necessary Apparatus,Chemical Department is not only working academically but also performing many Co-Curricular activities.These activities include quiz competition, poster presentation, seminars, science exhibition, yoga and meditation workshop, rangoli competition etc.Student are introduced to various industries to fill the gap between academic and field knowledge by organizing educational visits.Since science day is celebrated every year. Dr. T.M.Varat , Ex. Principal of MGP college.chief guest on the Science day which was celebrated on 28th February 2024. The students of chemistry department actively participates in interstate research competition “AVISHKAR” each yea2024. The department also organizes various outreach activities the help social elements. In the academic year 2023-24.
